reunion  : sound

The sound design that accompanies my work is inherently tied to my investigation of the varying manifestations of human fear. 
It is often heavy and dark in tone, layered with intermittent moments of silence. 
The sound is structured to engage the space, and converse with the movement of the images and the body.
The atmosphere is balanced between recognizable sounds from nature (wind, water, cicadas), room tones, and unidentifiable sounds
that could potentially encourage personal interpretation. 
The soundscore design was created in collaboration with Marshall Brown, under the mentorship of sound artist Stephen Vitiello.
